Reverse-Cycle Ducted Air-Conditioning

Reverse-cycle ducted air-conditioning systems offer the best whole of home or office heating and cooling solution. They are energy efficient and perfect for our Western Australian climate.

At Sharp Air-conditioning and Refrigeration we specialise in designing and installing reverse-cycle ducted air-conditioning systems that best meet your individual needs and budget.

Every home, office, family or business is different, so it’s important you size and design your reverse-cycle ducted air-conditioning system with the correct number of outlets, zones and controls to ensure your comfortable 365 days a year for many years to come.

Sharp Air-conditioning and Refrigeration supply and install the best quality brands of reverse-cycle ducted air-conditioning systems.

We have partnered with top brands – Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi.

We also service and repair “ All “ Brands of Air-Conditioning.

Sharp Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Services also recommend integrating your reverse-cycle ducted air-conditioning system with a smart home control system like iZone.  Smart home control systems give you total control of the temperature and airflow of individual rooms in your home or office via a touchscreen on the wall or from your smart device via WiFi or 4G.  They minimise energy use and costs while maximising comfort.

Our showroom at Unit 1 39 Erceg Road, Yangebup 6164 has a fully operational demonstration control system for you to interact with and examples of different types of Air Diffusion Outlets for you to choose from.

If you have an old, but operational ducted reverse-cycle air-conditioning system that is 10-15 years old or more, it may be worthwhile replacing with a new one.  Today’s air-conditioning and smart home technology, like iZone, is much more effective and efficient and you will further reduce energy use and costs.  Plus, we may be able to re-use existing ductwork and fittings and only replace the indoor and outdoor units.

Split System Air-Conditioning

If you only need to cool or heat a single room in your home or office, or if you have a flat roof where it may be difficult to install a ducted reverse-cycle air conditioning system, then a split air-conditioning system or split system could be the ideal solution.

Depending on the brand, split system air-conditioning is available in a wide range of types, from wall splits to cassette splits (in-ceiling), floor consoles, and bulkhead systems.

Sharp Air-conditioning and Refrigeration specialise in split system air-conditioning and can advise you when designing the best split system for your requirements.

Wall Split Air Conditioners

The outdoor unit is generally installed on the ground, the wall or on the roof directly outside the room where the indoor unit is located.

The general industry standard allowance is for 3m of pipe work and 10m of electrical cable, however Sharp Air-conditioning and Refrigeration allow for up to 3m or 4m of pipework and up to 15m of electrical cable as standard.

This is better known as a back-to-back air-conditioning installation.

We can design and install systems from 2kw that suit small rooms such as bedrooms or offices, up to 10kw that suit main living areas or open plan offices.

Multi-Split Air Conditioners

Multi-Split Air Conditioners are primarily used when one outdoor unit is installed for multiple indoor units.  This is normally done when there is limited outside space or for a neat and tidy installation.

Some multi-split air-conditioning systems require refrigeration pipe to run from the outdoor unit to each indoor unit.  However, some other multi-split type air-conditioning systems, allow for the main refrigeration pipe to run to a junction box, where secondary pipe work runs to each indoor unit.

Split Air-Conditioning Systems are generally installed with a hand-held controller, although WiFi can be added to enable smart device control of your split air-conditioning system. With multi-split system fixed wall controllers are also available.

Evaporative Air-Conditioning

The biggest benefit of an Evaporative Air-Conditioning System for home or commercial building use is that it draws 100% of fresh outside air to cool your space.

Evaporative Air-Conditioning Systems are less expensive to install than fully ducted reverse-cycle systems, and they’re also highly energy efficient and effective at cooling your space, so ongoing running costs are much lower as well.  With the cost of energy on the increase, it’s worth considering whether an evaporative system will meet your needs?

Generally, an evaporative air-conditioning system will cool your office or commercial space by approximately 10-12 degrees from the outside temperature and deliver a fresh cooling effect due to the high velocity of airflow.

The main unit of an evaporative air-conditioning system sits on your roof with other componentry, such as ducting, sitting within your roof space.

Sharp Air-conditioning and Refrigeration supply and install the best quality brands of evaportaive air-conditioning systems including:

Sharp Air-conditioning and Refrigeration supply and install Australian-Made brands, renowned for their energy and water efficiency (Up to 90% in cost savings compared to a ducted reverse-cycle air-conditioning system) as well as technologically advanced controllers.
